Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:03] So catch up with the show. Talk about her we’re having, how fun it was when it was up at first. I want to start off and talk about why we did this whole thing in the first place. So, year and a half ago, two years ago, I did a Ted talk on, ending the opioid epidemic. The pain portion using cannabis, to replace opioids. And, after I did the Ted talk, a buddy of mine was giving me grief about it, and he was like, what are you going to do now? Let’s figure out how to fix addiction. And you’ve got this whole, opioid epidemic fixed. And so I went and I figured out how to fix addiction. More found out than figured out because we’ve known since the 60s. We have substantial research that shows that, using ketamine and psychedelics, you know, high walker DMT, psilocybin magic mushrooms, even search gas for LSD, the and ketamine. Using the combination of those, we can see 85% of the time we see substantial reduction in PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, everything. So when I found that out and I was like, man, these are super safe. And, you know, I went ahead and I tried them. I made sure everything was as good. And they’re phenomenal. It helped me with some heart issues that I had. And we started using them for veterans and first responders and breaking up their PTSD. So I started a charity Tree of Life Gut Health.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:35] Its whole purpose is to use ketamine and psychedelics to break PTSD, addiction, depression, and, veterans of first responders. So I wanted to kind of make a way of getting the the information out, get out there and jump in that and talk to people about it. And so that’s why we started doing the party going self regardless. So just kind of coming out and trying to make some noise and stuff like that. I looked around all my buddies to help have spread the message and like the guys that wanted to help spread the message, we’re all pros, you know, this is I would cook low and Max West and Burton and all my buddies who were pros. I was like, oh, I’ll have them talk about it. But then I realized as well, if I just went pro and kind of. You know, did the journey with everybody. And people would see it. So that’s why we did it. But that’s the thing. So the research shows 85% of the time we get substantial and profound benefit from using ketamine and psychedelics for depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, that’s the stuff. So but if it wasn’t 85, it was 50, or if it was 30 and 30% of the people who are on your followers list, we’re going to get significant benefit from psychedelics for their mental health. Don’t you think that we’re sharing with them and telling everybody, hey, you know, Google ketamine therapy near you.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:54] You know, it’ll help ton, the way we do it as we walk people through a mental thing where they get ready. So we set that we do. They’re setting an intention with them so that they’re ready to do it. And then we use the medications, the psychedelics, and they we’re getting great results. We’ve got one of the videos at Tree of Life Dot health. You guys can check that out. You got it there. Or if you guys are looking for supplements, all the supplements on Pillars of wellness, like, there’s ones I take once in all my protocols when I get my kids, all of the proceeds from Pillars of wellness.com, the supplements, go directly to the charity. So, you know, there’s a lot of first responders, a lot of veterans out there who put themselves in harm’s way between us and the stress. And so I want to make sure that we do something to give back to them. And if you guys haven’t read the research, gather, read the research. It is amazing. It’s going to help everybody because everyone in the United States has got some stress. Everybody who’s got some mental health issues we need to clear up, and it’s not going to help everybody. Even the research shows that, you know, the best we’re looking at is 85%, but 85% is a lot of people. So you know, everybody needs it. Share this with everybody. Just share this portion of the video, share the whole video, or make your own video and tell everybody that psychedelics are something they might want to look into. Again, nothing fixes everything and everybody.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:13] But these are pretty these are pretty special. I’ve talked to lots of veterans. You know, when when someone tells you they know what their guns taste like and then they do this process and three weeks later, they don’t have any PTSD left at all. It’s pretty staggering. So you know, everybody check that out. It’ll be great. So the whole point of this show, the reason I want to do this one, when I decided that this was what I was going to do, I was going to do the bodybuilding thing to kind of make some noise for, mental health. The first person I called the CPR club, and I was like, hey, man, am I crazy or what’s up? And he said, no, man. He’s like, you’ve got the mind for it. He’s like, you could do it. You should do it. And so that’s why I did it. And then what I wanted to do is I wanted to go back through and, kind of start the journey with his show. He’s been a buddy of mine for a long time. He’s been, you know, he’s just one of the nicest guys you’re ever going to meet. Like, after the show the next day, he made a video to me about, you know, you know, how awesome it was, the percentage of people who would actually do this and stick with it. It was it was really cool. So he’s just a phenomenal human being. And so I wanted to start this journey at his show. And so that’s what we did this weekend. One of the things he told me, he was like, look, yes, your body is, is going to get there. He’s like, with what you’re doing.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:34] He’s like, you’re going to be there for two very long years ago. What you need is you need experience. It shows, you know, like it’s one of those things where like, you can read about and you can trade real hard. But if you’ve never played a football game, you should probably play one before, you know, you go for a championship. So, you know, that was kind of the idea. So I learned a giant amount things I’m never going to do again. Not doing the kind thing again. Not that maybe I’ll puffy and bloated is terrible, I hated it. oh, by the way, protein melts my skin, which is super awesome. Hopefully some of you pros out there, some tips on not letting the protein destroy my skin. But, no, it was it was. You know, I it’s one of those things where you should do something better. Like, I should be better at posing. I should get my routine down, and I should spend more time with my posing coach. And then you go do something. You’re like, yeah, I was right. I need to spend a lot more time, you know, focusing on that. So, I’ve got some of that to do. But it was really, really cool. Like, we met a lot of people. The thing that I love most about the body living thing, and there’s lots that I actually love about this, is this is. I should have gotten this for a lot earlier.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:46] The people are phenomenal. Like, everybody I met was like, you know, here’s a tip and here’s a this and this is what I’m doing, and this is how it’s helping. Like, everybody’s just so giving with their knowledge. And it’s just like everybody wants everyone to succeed. And it’s really cool. So if you guys are on the fence about maybe you joining in, like, I love to work out, but I don’t want to be a bodybuilder. Yeah. You do. You do? Because that’s all we do. We talked about, you know, the supplements we’re taking. We’re talking about powerlifting. We’re talking. We’re talking about, hey, I injured this thing and this is how I fix it. And, you know, oh, hey, I’m eating. This is my carb load or whatever it is. And because everybody wants to succeed, it’s it’s really just the greatest community ever been minute. It’s funny because, like, when you get there, all the women who do this right interject because they are, you know, they’re all competing, they’re all doing the same thing. And you’re like, you’re just kind of with your people and it’s really, really fun. So like, I’ve met pros just out and about there. Like I’m like having to compete and like, oh my gosh, here’s all the information I think would be helpful to you. And it’s funny because it’s like, you know, a lot of it, you know, if you’re in the industry, you don’t need a lot of the information because like, you know, you know it. But I’m always super, super appreciative of them giving it to me because I might know 95% of what you’re going to tell me, but that means there’s 5%, I don’t know. And so I’ll take all the 95% that I already know so that you can give me the five.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:11] I don’t, but that’s what you know. I guess everybody’s been just super, super awesome about it. So I well, I got to first and fourth, for, you know, my, my categories and, that was cool. But, you know, like I said, lots and lots of things to do differently for the next year. And I’m not qualified to actually go to the shows where you can get your pro card. And, so the plan right now is to play right now is to go tomorrow to Europe, spend two weeks for the kids there. We’ll take some pictures and systems with back. And then when I get back, I’ll clean up on June and then cut for July and August. And I should be where we want to be. I’d like to knock off a couple more pounds fat and, build up to about 240 in the leaner than I am now. So that’s the plan. We’ll go back to one of the big questions I’ve been getting about is about the supplementation and about the fasting and about, you know, how I’m doing everything and why, how it works chemically. So, you know, those are some of the fun things. But the big thing I wanted to make sure that we did was we came out, we talked about the psychedelics, we talked about ketamine, we talked about mental health. So, you know, share this video in your in your in your followers list. Because I guarantee you if you have more than ten followers, you’re going to you’re going to help somebody.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:32] And if you send it to 5 or 10 people and they see this virus in people, you’re going to be part of saving somebody’s life, I guarantee you that. The problem with this information is that people will kill themselves because they don’t get this information in time. And, you know, I always tell us when we work on we work on our veterans, we work on our first responders. You know, I tell people that the psychedelics don’t just say people. They say families. Because if you if someone commits suicide, it hits everybody in the family and it’s everybody around them. It’s it’s a big, big deal. And so, you know, when people are depressed, when people are having mental anguish, you know, it’s always rough with the moms who are just trying to get through life, are stressed out, going crazy. Everything’s terrible. You know, there’s still reduction pods right there, like everything’s cool of a surplus, but underneath they’re just going crazy. This really helps reset the mind. So my story, to lots of you guys know I cheated. I figured out how to fix Covid about four months. And so we were pulled through our hospitals to treat the Covid with quite a of the hyperbaric. And, as they were coming in, I was catching it again. Again, my heart got messed up. And, so for about a year and a half, whenever I would lay down, it would just be like, bang, bang, bang is real hard.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:48] Like, you know, if some of those things like, I think something’s wrong, you’re like, I know something’s wrong, and it’s my heart that’s not good. And I had echoes and sticker studies and talk to my cardiology buddies, and they’re like, nobody can figure it out. On top of that, I apparently had PTSD from a car wreck I was in in high school. My heart rate was always in the 90s since I was like 20. Oxygen stats would be like 96, 97, 98, heart rate, 90 all the time. So, when I find out about ketamine, I find out what’s going on with, you know, how it helps people. Before I do the research, but before I would tell anybody they should go do it. I want to do it first because I feel like, you know, hey, you should go do this thing, but I’m not willing to do it is low integrity. And so I did it first. And man, it made me super sick. Like like throwing up. I thought I had the felt of the flu. Like I get run over by a bus. It was absolutely the worst thing in the world. Super terrible. I have no idea how you guys do this for fun. But anyway, so, like, I had to like. And they. I’d have to have someone drive me home, like, I’m that, like, bastard. And I get home and I shuffle in the house, and I’m like, this is a mistake. This is stupid. I should have done this. I’m never telling anybody to do this. And I lay down in bed. And I couldn’t feel my heart beating anymore. And fix that, that that that beat.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:12:07] Probably my heart. The next day, I went in the office. I checked my pulse. Action was the first time in 20 years I’d see my heart rate in the 70s. So what happens if you’re wondering neurologically, when you get high stress, that post-traumatic stress, it shifts you into what’s called sympathetic state. So you’re always just kind of buzzing, like everything’s all like, oh, you got to shift you into that. And that’s where the heart breaking from ketamine helps to lift all your means up. So dopamine, serotonin, you know, all the neurotransmitters up. And it kind of like resets what’s called the default neural state. So you kind of go back to normal, and it’s, unbelievably therapeutic. You can also use ketamine to a degree, but like the DMT and that type of thing. To basically pull off all the little lies you’re telling yourself. Like, I always feel like there’s a there’s a person you’re supposed to be and there’s, like, dark chains holding on to. And the DMT kind of helps break some of those chains up. And so you can see the path that you’re supposed to walk a lot clearer. You just kind of figure out, hey, I’m supposed to be this person. And here are the things that were holding me back, and I don’t care about those anymore. Now I know the path. Now I know where I’m supposed to be going. And I’m laser focused on where I need to be in the man I need to be. And I think it is.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:13:25] It is spectacular. You know, a lot of guys who died DMT, ayahuasca, Aaron Rodgers, these guys, you know, Joe Rogan, anybody has come out and talked about how unbelievably beneficial they are and it’s amazing. Not something you want to do at a party. Something you want to do with a guide, a shaman, somebody who can walk you through that set, but setting the intention properly. But it is a big, big deal. So that’s kind of what’s going on. So if you guys are wondering, you know, why it is I’m going through and I’m putting all this stuff on, you know, talking about, you know, all the bodybuilding stuff like that. It was to raise the point where we could see that, how this conversation that we started telling people about ketamine, psychedelics and mental health. So, share this video with everybody here. Make your own video. Make your own memes. Let’s start talking about, you know, maps is doing some you know, if you look at maps and psychedelics and maps, they’ve got a ton of research on it. Lots of great stuff. Humans talked about this a bunch. This is this is going to be the next the big revolution, assuming the mental health revolution, if we can start using these things properly. It’s a really big time. So check it out. Share this with people. If you guys have any questions here. Some questions that as Wallace drop in the comments.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:14:43] If you guys have had you guys have stories of your own of how it’s helped you or how to of buddy of yours. Drop those in the comments. Let’s start telling everybody how great the psychedelics things are for mental health. It’s, we have this massive problem that everybody’s got, and that’s where we’re at. You know, we have the solutions. We’re just not pushing it into. We’re not pushing in the mainstream. So. Yeah. So in the comment about the the mushrooms, microdosing is fantastic. We’ve got a lot of guys who, you know, they have issues, they’ve got anxiety issues. They got, you know, stress issues in the microdose with psilocybin with mushrooms. And they’re fantastic. They’re like, this is this is the path for me. You know, it is a spectacular thing again, you know, and there’s there’s a lot of guys in California now in Oregon, Washington who are getting, you know, lab functional, like the mushrooms, like, here’s the psilocybin. It is clean. It is good. It is, you know, always a level three strong. So you you can understand how to dose it. There’s a lot of stuff there. The guys for cash talk have done a great job helping to kind of get everybody kind of moving together. I was their dog for a while, and they’re fantastic human beings. So there’s a lot of stuff coming out. Hopefully, hopefully we’ll start teaching people about, how to grow, how to brother, grow for mushrooms. And so, you know, Alex, but it’s fantastic stuff. Is I can’t speak highly enough about it. I’m going to do another DMT round, when I come back from Europe. But it is, it’s pretty awesome. So check it out if you guys have any questions, drop in the comments. Share those with people. Let’s try to see if we can’t keep people feel better. So you guys have a good one.
