Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:04] With the hurricane coming in, and we’ve been having lots of people come in and talk about congestion, headaches or nausea, talking about, you know, joints hurting the whole thing. So what’s going on is a barometric pressure change. So if you guys are not familiar with barometric pressure, look at just Google Barometer. So what a barometer is, is a way we measure the atmospheric pressure, the amount of pressure that the well, it’s pushing down on us. And what we see is if you take a sealed container, most times it’s glass and it has water in it. And when it’s up happening, as the pressure changes, the fluid moves in the container. Just from the amount of pressure it’s pushing down. So when we see barometric changes in a little device, you have to understand that your head, that your sinuses, you’re the vast majority, your body is basically a barometer. So let’s just look at the sciences for easy example. Your sinuses are cavities or holes or little pockets of air, of, you know, doesn’t that’s filled with anything specific that has fluid. So it’s not full, always full of fluid. There’s some fluid in it. Not all the way there. And so as a pressure changes, then that fluid moves around. If there’s congestion, inflammation, you know, the lymphatics are a little bit sticky or whatever. And that pressure, that fluid can’t move freely. What ends up happening is that the pressure builds up. And so it feels like you just feel have pressure in your head.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:34] And as that builds up, it can do a variety of things. As it changes the pressure in around your blood vessels, it can cause lightheadedness. It can cause, you know, you can feel your pulse beating. It can lead to migraine headaches and things like that. What we typically see as tension headaches, sinus headaches, that type of thing. As that pressure changes and it starts moving mucus around, if it increases the flow of mucus down your throat and your stomach nauseous. And just think you feel terrible over. So if you’ve ever heard the expression of the old guy, you know who gets rains are coming, I can feel it in my bum knee. Well, that’s because your knees are basically capsules. Fluid. Elbows, knees, shoulders. They’ve got their. They can trap fluid inside them. And there’s the pressure changes. They’re going to start. You’re going to feel it. The pressure is going to be you’re going to feel differences in the joints. So that’s why we have you know shoulder pain pain neck pain, you know, all sorts of stuff. As this pressure system from the hurricane moves through. We see this a lot in just normal every day, right? Which is one of the reasons why people feel kind of nasty whenever, you know, the rain comes in their day before day of people look and feel blah. Headaches kind of. Just not just not feeling great. Sinus pressure. Sys congestion. That’s what it’s from. And so a lot of that stuff can be alleviated if we continually work in the body.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:06] And this this is, again, one of the reasons why, if we work on our bodies or work in our health, maintain our health while we feel good, we’re going to feel better more often. So you might still feel the pressure, like I can feel the pressure, but I’m not a 5 or 6 and a 1 or 2. Like normally I have a one and I can feel it a little bit like if I if I think about it, maybe I can feel a little bit some a 1 or 2. Now if you have a, if you’re one of those people who always has these type of things, you know, it gets cloudy or, you know, we have rain, you have headaches, you have nausea in some stuff. It’s very common with weather changes. Then what you want to do is you want to change the neurologic muscle tone around your lymphatics and your blood vessels. Chiropractic adjusting is a great way to do that. Stretching and exercises are a fantastic way of doing that. But maintaining normal, normal flow is really important. So one of the big things we talk about, and this is because, you know, we talk about monitor height. We talk about head position a lot for neck pain, shoulder pain, things like that. But this is a bigger thing when the the pressures change up a little bit. So what I always think some people do is when you’re when you serve your workstation, you want to sit up nice and tall. Big breath, eyes closed. When you open your eyes.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:23] This is the center of your field of vision. You want the senator monitor 4 to 6in above that. You’re always looking slightly up. So when you slouch, you slouch like this. When you’re looking up, all of these pathways are open and you’re sitting back like this. All of the drain pads are open. So you’re that attention to build up in your neck and your upper back isn’t there. Because if you’re sitting down, all those muscles have the hole on your head. Whereas here, if you raise your head back up here, it relaxes quite a bit. So that’s one of the first steps. Massage is be a fantastic thing. And this isn’t necessarily when you have the barometric pressure problem. When you have the headache, you should get a massage or fix it. What I’m actually telling you is that. If you get massages on a regular basis and the the lymphatics are drained, the waste from musculature has move out the nutrients and the water is gone. And then we just get better fluid flow. You’re going to have a higher quality of health all the time. Getting that lymphatic drainage is moving is really, really important. Now, the idea that we don’t need to do that because our lymphatics drain themselves is a thing we are designed to train themselves with the way they’re designed to drains, that when we move, the musculature, squeezes on it and then opens back up and it kind of pumps it around the body.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:41] So if you’re not exercising, if you’re not, you know, getting your ten, 15,000 steps in, if you’re not lifting weights, if you’re not, you know, bending over, touching your toes, standing back up, if you’re not putting your body through these, these pressure changes as your muscles constrict and relax and constrict and relax. If you’re not doing that, then you’re not doing the things the body designed. There’s a check and balance. And so again we start talking about the one of the greatest things you can do for your health exercising. This is one of the things we’re talking about now. You can run and that’s fine. You can swim. You can do all the cardio. That’s fantastic weight bearing exercises that connect risks that require you to put pressure into specific joints. Muscles is going to be the best way to do this, because if you run, you’re going to get lots of great stuff for your calves, some for your quads, some for your butt, a little bit for your core. But, you know, even though you’re moving your arms, you’re not going to get a ton of resistance from your body about not.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:39] But if you’re lifting, you know, if you’re if you’re doing squats, if you’re doing, you know, leg extensions, you’re going get the same thing for your legs, but you’re also going to get when you do arms and you back when you chest, you shoulders, you know, when you do those other things, as those muscles constrict and contract, you’re going to start moving blood through those musculature. You’re going to help flush out some of the issues there, but you’re also going to get the lymphatics moving because again, those muscles are constricting. The compressing and relaxing, compressing and relaxing, and they’re acting as the pump to move the things through your blood vessels to your lymphatics. And that’s the thing. So, you know, yet again, going to the gym, exercising, having a junior house for these type of exercises, weight bearing resistance exercises are extremely beneficial long term if you end up having lots of, barometric style problems. So get adjusted, get your massages and and start working out. So the other things we use quite often are things that break down biofilms. So biofilms are these little sugary cocoons of mucus. They’re like, that’s the Mukasey goo is. And so, as we start breaking those down, allows things to flow a little bit easier in the body. The things that break those down, garlic or Allison, HK is a big one.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:07:55] We love to use hydrochloric acid as a, for lots of reasons. One, when you’re stressed out, your body doesn’t make enough hydrochloric acid. And so we have barrier problems, too. Like parasites, bacteria, viruses can get in the body a lot easier because the the primary defense system that hydrochloric acid kills everything you swallow isn’t there. So that’s one thing. But the other thing we see is that has probably one of the largest denature and destroy and rip out biofilms, of any of the solvents we use. And it’s also one of the cheapest. So, you know, CL supplementation, Allison, supplementation are great ways to go. Thieves in hope, inhaling essential oils. I prefer thieves. I actually put up my CPAp every night, so I’m breathing in thieves every night. So it really helps kill anything in my navel passages. So any viruses, bacteria, anything that’s there helps move out. It helps keep the science as clear. I don’t have pressure headaches anymore. I don’t have tension headaches anymore. My sinuses are a lot more open. And that’s been something I’ve struggled with my entire life. Is breathing through my nose. Because the way that my my intake is set up, so it’s been really beneficial. We’ve seen with with my wife, Lou, she used to have, you know, 6 or 7 serious sinus infections a year. You know, she get walking pneumonia, you know, basically every year she get lots of bacterial infections and stuff like that. And then as we cleaned up her diet and got her supplementation squared away, about 80% of her issues are gone. Are gone now with this hurricane. She can still feel it. And she’s like, I got a light headache. But it wasn’t a debilitating headache.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:31] It used to be, so we’re all going to have little issues in our, in this pressure system. Like you’re going to have one lymphatic pipe, you’re gonna have this station tube, you’re gonna have something that isn’t as big as some of the other ones. Your bodies can produce a little bit more biscuits, lymphatic fluid, than somebody else. And so everyone’s going to have kind of a little bit of differentiation on what this is. Some of you guys have to work out more. So you guys have to take in more water. So you guys are taking your supplement a little bit more. You guys have to, you know, breathe the essential oils. You’re going to have to do more stuff according to how your body’s put together. But that’s that’s the the. Pronunciation of all is like that. There isn’t. You can’t be like, here’s the protocol for all human beings, because we’re all so radically different. So you’re gonna have to do some more of those things where you look around your family, your friends. You’re like, why is this hard hitting me so hard? It’s not hitting you guys nearly as hard. Well, that’s kind of how that works. So, you know, you might have to do more work than somebody else, but, you know, think about it. When was the last time you had the sciences? Your science is in your face drain. Yeah. Like I do it whenever we adjust, people work the maxillary, you know, and then we’ll come down here, we’ll drain all that stuff. And I’ll just the, a little a drain. But what was left when you had that dog? When was the last time you had a full body lymphatic drain? When was the last time you had just a full body massage? Deep tissue massage, you know, are you getting in the water? You’re supposed to.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:49] So. And on the waterfront, I always tell you about 100% of your body weight analysis. 100 pounds, 100oz, 200 pounds, 200oz. The reality of that, though, is as long as you’re peeing clear, you’re got the smell. No color. That’s all. The water unit. So, you know, if at 10 a.m., you go to the bathroom, you pee. It’s clear you’re good on water. Now, if at 2:00 you pee and it’s yellowish. You need to have more water. But as long as you drink enough that your urine stays clear, you’re usually in the gut. So that’s a good on water. Like I said earlier, you are going to need different, different stuff. If you haven’t taken chances and you have bile production issues, you know, method B vitamins are definitely gonna help the whole system. So there’s things like that. There’s more than just 1 or 2 things involved. But if you’re wondering why you’re getting these headaches, you’re wondering why you feel miserable. You know, whenever it rains just like that. This is one of those things that we understand. The body is built in a way that barometric pressure is a thing. If we start exercising with weight bearing exercises, getting your massages, getting adjusted, you know, keeping the nutrients high so the body flows properly, you’re going to see a lot of these issues dissipate or some of them go completely white.
