Peptides Work Through Physiology. Physiology Runs on Nutrients.
Peptides and GLP-1s are changing clinical practice, but results depend on the physiology behind them. Dr. Matt Chalmers, DC, CCCN, CCSP, gives a functional medicine view of how today’s top peptides work and how practitioners can support those pathways with nutrition.
Every peptide sends a signal, and every signal needs the right raw materials to be carried out. When those nutrients are missing, the patient’s response stalls, and the problems that show up can look like side effects of the therapy itself. This session shows you how to see that gap before it becomes a problem.
What This Session Covers
- What nutrients each peptide pathway needs
- Where deficiencies can limit a patient’s response
- How to use targeted supplementation before, during, and after therapy to improve outcomes
- How to anticipate, test for, and prevent issues such as gallbladder dysfunction, muscle loss, fatigue, and emotional dysregulation
