Metabolic Reset

A 100-day foundational program built around the root cause behind most metabolic, hormone, and weight struggles: insulin resistance.

What This Program Is Designed to Do

Deciding to prioritize your health is not a small thing. It usually comes after a period of noticing that something needs to change — energy, weight, sleep, mood, or simply the sense that your body isn’t working the way it should. Whatever brought you here, the fact that you’re looking into this puts you in a position many people never reach.

Metabolic Reset is a 100-day program built to establish the foundations your body needs to regulate hormones, insulin sensitivity, sleep, and body composition — the systems that, when restored, make lasting change possible. This is not a temporary weight-loss push. It’s the beginning of a longer process of understanding your physiology and building the conditions that let your body heal and adapt. Over the 100 days, we work through nutrition, hormones, sleep, movement, and stress mitigation together — the five pillars that govern how your body functions. Each one affects the others, and your plan reflects that.

Understanding Insulin Resistance — The Root Cause We Target

Insulin resistance happens when your cells stop responding normally to insulin, the hormone responsible for moving glucose out of your bloodstream and into your cells for energy. Your pancreas compensates by producing more and more insulin to get the same effect — and that chronically elevated insulin level is, on its own, a driver of dysfunction throughout the body, well before blood sugar itself ever becomes abnormal on a standard lab panel.

This is why our metabolic protocols are built around insulin resistance specifically, rather than weight or blood sugar in isolation. Insulin resistance is documented in the medical literature as a contributing factor across an unusually wide range of serious conditions: cardiovascular disease and arterial plaque buildup, stroke, dementia and cognitive decline, several cancers, fatty liver disease, and — for women specifically — PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and endometriosis. It’s also mechanistically tied to nutrient absorption: the same cellular receptors that pull glucose into your cells (called GLUT4 receptors) are insulin-dependent, so the more insulin-resistant a person becomes, the harder it is for key minerals like zinc, magnesium, and selenium to get into cells at all — regardless of diet or supplementation.

“Insulin resistance is problematic for just about every long-term scary disease you can think of — cancer, arterial plaque, heart attack, stroke, dementia. The list goes on and on.”

Sleep and Sleep Apnea: Why We Start Here

Every Metabolic Reset enrollment includes a home sleep study with a full physician review — and it’s one of the first things we look at, not an afterthought. Sleep apnea is one of the most under-diagnosed conditions in adults, and it’s associated in the medical literature with meaningfully elevated risk of heart attack, stroke, dementia, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. Even brief, repeated drops in blood oxygen during sleep — which many people with undiagnosed apnea experience dozens of times a night without ever waking up enough to notice — are associated with lasting cognitive effects over time.

There’s also a direct connection to the insulin resistance discussion above: the repeated oxygen drops and sleep fragmentation caused by apnea trigger cortisol release overnight, and elevated nighttime cortisol drives blood sugar and insulin spikes while you sleep — worsening insulin resistance and making fat loss harder, independent of diet. This is a big part of why sleep is treated as a foundational pillar in this program rather than a side note.

Once your sleep study is reviewed, you’re not just handed a report and sent on your way — you’re supported through it, with ongoing email communication and check-in video calls every two weeks throughout your 100 days, so any adjustments to your plan happen in real time rather than waiting for your next visit.

“I have fixed most of my sleep apnea issues, however, I still sleep with a CPAP hooked to an oxygen concentrator because I want my oxygen levels as close to 100% when I sleep as I can get them.”

Nutrition Built Around You — Not Against You

Your program includes a custom cookbook built around your actual food preferences — because this program doesn’t ask you to give up the foods you love. It’s not about calorie counting; it’s about chemistry. Made the right way, favorite foods and real dessert have a place in a leaner, healthier body.

Movement That Grows With You

You will receive an individualized workout plan delivered through the Pillars of Wellness app, with both instructional videos and written explanations for every exercise — so you always know exactly how to do a movement correctly, not just what it is called. Your plan is built around where you are right now, whether that is training for a competitive stage or simply walking the neighborhood, and it evolves with you as your strength, capacity, and goals change over the 100 days.

Hormone & Peptide Support, As Clinically Indicated

Where clinically appropriate based on your labs and evaluation, your program may include hormone therapy (testosterone, estrogen, or progesterone) and metabolic peptide therapy from our GLP-1 protocols. These aren’t add-ons decided in advance — they’re determined individually with your provider based on what your bloodwork actually shows. You can read more about the science behind these therapies on our Peptide Therapy and hormone pages, including Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide.

Personalized Nutrient Support

Your program includes a personalized supplement and nutrient stack — closing the gap most protocols miss entirely. Hormones and peptides give your body a command: build muscle, burn fat, repair tissue. But without the raw materials to carry that out, the command has nothing to work with. This stack is built to supply what your body actually needs to execute, not a generic multivitamin.

Coached Every Step of the Way

One-on-one coaching visits run throughout the 100 days — this is where everything above becomes yours. Every piece of this program works better when it’s fit specifically to you rather than applied generically. We’ve coached pro athletes and weekend warriors alike for over a decade, and we’ll help you move from exactly where you are today to where you want to go.

What We Ask of You

Results reflect both clinical guidance and your engagement. We provide the plan, the monitoring, and the expertise — your consistency and honest communication are what make the plan work. We’ll ask you to complete baseline photos and measurements, keep up with check-ins, and bring us your questions along the way, including the ones that feel small.

Beyond Day 100

This is a starting line, not a finish line. Our goal over the 100 days isn’t just to help you reach a number or complete a program — it’s to help you become someone who continues building health long after enrollment ends, because health is what gives you the capacity to live out everything else that matters to you.
