Eating cleaner food is important, but real health goes beyond just avoiding toxins. It’s about daily choices staying active, eating well, and taking care of both body and mind. No quick fix can replace the effort it takes to feel your best.

Moms, in particular, have a big influence on their family’s health, from what’s on the table to everyday habits. By making small, intentional changes, families can create a healthier lifestyle together. It’s not about being perfect just making better choices one step at a time.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:04] So people have been asking me, you know, you’re all excited about RFK. And so, you know, we’re all going to get healthy again. Maybe we’re going to have a much better chance of getting healthy. So, I mean, we’re going to get healthy by default because we’re going to pull a lot of these you know, hopefully we’re pull the glyphosate and some of the dyes and some of the other chemicals out. We’re going to make the food healthier. That’d be fantastic. So yeah, I think that over the course of what RFK is going to do, it will it will end up making the vast majority of people substantially healthier. However, will it make us healthy? Now you have to make yourself your self healthy, you know, decreasing the poisons are definitely going to help. Like I’m not arguing that like 100%. I think it’s gonna be very, very helpful. At the end of the day, it’s going to help tremendously. However. You have to make yourself healthy. Like, you know, no one’s going to exercise for you. You know, poising yourself last is going to be great. And RFK is definitely going to help with that. But the idea of actually being healthy is an active function. So people are going to start exercising. We’re going to start, you know, moving our bodies more. We’re going to start getting out. We’re going to start, you know, increasing nutrient density, which I think I think if we change the food supply, we’re going to get a decent amount of that and that can be helpful.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:26] But still, you can still eat right and sit around and play video games all day while you’ll be healthier than you were. You’re not going to be healthy as you want to be. And I think we’re going to end up saying we’re going to make a bunch of changes to the food supply and a lot of changes to the drug function. And at the end of the day, it’s going to help quite a bit. But to actually get us where we want to go, we’ve got to start actually moving. We got to start choosing to eat better foods. You know, we got to start moving around and exercising and doing the things we got to do. We start working on mindsets. We start moving in the right direction. You know, as far as mental function goes and mental health. So there’s a lot of that. And so we’re going to have to do some stuff on our own. So if you want to be healthy, you’re still going to have to, you know, get up and move yourself. You’re going to have to exercise. You’re going to have to choose the right foods. You’re going to do some stuff to make you move in the right direction. Now, like I said, cutting out the poisons, however long that takes, is going to be wildly beneficial to a lot of people. And hopefully it’s to get to the point where, you know, you’re not so sick that you can’t get out of bed. And so, you know, trying to really exercise who, you know, is so poisoned that they can’t move is always difficult. But at the end of the day, what I want everybody to understand is that health is a reflection of what you choose to make it. I think a lot of people going to be healthier because the poisons are gone. But.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:48] You guys are going out to exercise yourself. I’ve said that about six times because I want to make sure that that was established. So when we start exercising, one of the things we’re going to start do is start getting out and moving in a in a general functional manner. Like, say, I make my kids go out and exercise before they get any type of dessert. So and in our family, it’s, you know, if you want dessert, you have to earn it. So you’ve got to go exercise. You’ve got to go do some stuff. You go move around. So we’ll get the kids out and we’ll wear the gym or exercise or we’ll go out and play basketball in the courtyard or we’ll go out and, you know, take the dogs for a jog or something like that. So we actually are out moving and it is, you know, even for my kids, even with, you know, what we do, it’s one of those things where we’ve got to force them to go out and do it. You know, it’s fortnite’s pretty fun. And Fortnite can consume your entire day if you let it. So, you know, as as can Minecraft and all the things they get to play with their friends and that’s great and all the fun. Jazz we still got to get out and move them. And it’s funny because people ask me like, Well, how can we put this together? How can we make sure that they’re getting out in and moving? How can we do all these things? And, and I hate to I swear, I hate to put this burden on you guys because everything seems to come down to you guys.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:04] But this is a thing that I when I reach out, I’m trying to get this done. I reach out to the moms, arm the moms and our wives, people who keep us healthy. They’re the ones who, you know, I make this argument all the time, and I’m not here to make the argument. But you know that women kind of actually control everything because, you know, men just want peace and calm and sex and women have control of all that, all those things. So but it’s it’s one of those things where when we’re trying to make changes in the family, people are like, well, you know, do you want to talk to the dads, the kids time I talked to the moms. The moms control all of this stuff. They control the food supply. They control, you know, a lot of the you know, the women can talk to the husbands, make their husbands do things for them. And so, you know, when we’re really looking at who’s going to help make the family healthy, it’s going to be mom who buys the supplements, who buys that, Who chooses the groceries for the vast majority of times. And this is all all the time. But for a lot of times it’s, you know, who’s making the food, who’s making those decisions? It’s mom and you know, who’s making all the sour dough. Like that’s I think it’s mostly the moms and the wives making the salad, which, by the way, is one of the healthier breads. So well done on that one. You know, it has a low glycemic function, the whole deal. But that’s the thing.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:16] So it’s you know, again, I hate to put this on you because I know how much you guys are already doing, but I think that the big change in health is going to come from when our wives and our moms do. It’s always when it’s been you know, there is there is no one who knows more about childhood diseases than the mothers of the kids who have the disease. I made that mistake one time. I went to lecture at a juvenile arthritis deal, and these moms knew stuff that I hadn’t even looked up yet. And so it was one of those things where I was just like, Wow, I have really stepped into because I’ve given these lectures to other docs and stuff. But what I talked to these moms, it was just like, my gosh, I didn’t know any of these things that you’re telling me. So I had to go research that stuff. So, you know, that’s that’s where this is. And so, you know, a lot of these moms can help direct the the the kinetic motion that can help direct the the exercises. They can help, you know, set up the rules of, you know, when we’re playing games and when we have screen time and all that sort of stuff. And they’re going to help direct all the nutritional stuff. So my my hope is that we listen to our wives, our moms a little bit more because it’s always been like, you know, when I when we have people who come in the office and they bring their kids in or, you know, the amount of men who come in hearing of my wife told me I had to come in, is that if the if the women didn’t direct this, I probably have seven patients because that’s where it all is. And so that’s where we’re going to have to go.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:48] So what we’re going to do is we’re going to educate our moms to better get. You just better have more control of what they’re doing, what they’re saying, because that’s where I think that’s who I think is going to drive this this how we’re actually going to get healthy. You know, RFK is going to do a lot of great things, but I think it’s going to be the moms and the wives who get us where we need to go. RFK is going to allow us to get there by removing all the poisons and giving us options that we wouldn’t have had before. But, you know, it’s the moms who drive everything, like my wife makes my wife is designed made up all the pancakes. She’s like all the food, all the muffins, like all the egg muffins, all the chocolate peanut butter muffins that we use, the high protein stuff that we’re using for, you know, to help people lose weight, help people gain muscle mass. Like my wife designed all that stuff. She finds that she makes it, she tweaks it. And about 70% of the time when she first finds the recipe and she makes it, it’s not very good. And so she has to figure out how to make it really good. And she does a great job at that. But that’s the other thing that she gives, like and then all the moms come and ask me. I guess they’re trying to get their families healthy themselves, healthy, their husbands healthy, the whole deal. They come and they ask us for these recipes and we give them to them. And and so they do a great job.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:02] So that’s kind of where this is. We’re going to have to make ourselves healthy. We’re going to make ourselves exercise it to make ourselves eat the right foods. It’s just because there’s less poison doesn’t mean that they’re so bad they’re not going to be bad choices out there, especially with this amount of type function, especially, you know, for your family. What is your family specifically need? And like I said, this can be one of those things where I think the women are going to drive this as they’ve driven a lot of the other positive change that we’ve had. So especially within the family unit and that’s been that’s been kind of where we started for a long time. So, you know, like I was I have my mom lecture. Like I give everybody my mom lecture about how, you know, women are generally better, more compassionate. We’re carrying we’re loving that type of thing. And then they have kids and that becomes, you know, substantially more, you know, intense. They’ll take care of their kids, their friends, kids, their, you know, kids friends, stray animals, stray people. And at the end of the day, if there’s any time left, they might think about taking care of themselves, which is great because that makes them great servants and the whole deal. But the problem we run into is that if mom goes down, the whole family falls apart. And I’ve said this for a long, long time, but this is, I think, going to be where we’re going to see the majority of the drive come from. I think the major movement is going to be really, really driven by a lot of the moms making it functional and healthy for everybody else around them.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:23] So for those of you moms out there, for those of you who are, you know, the wives out there who feel like they’re getting crap for always trying to push the healthy stuff. Isaiah I think that everyone should start to recognize the work that you guys are put in to make us healthy, make us functional. So thank you for that. And again, I hate to put more on you, but you’re going to drive this thing and so, you know, get all the information you can if you guys have questions, you know, if I can help out, ask me. But I think that we’re going to go recognize that while our kids can do a lot of stuff, we are going have to make the decision to get healthy. We’re going have to do that. And so we’re going to decide exercise. We’re going to decide to eat right foods and hopefully with more information, more access to stuff, we can make those decisions faster, easier and have more access. But that’s where it is. So, you know, do I think RFK is going to make us healthy? I think he’s going to get us the opportunity. I think he’s going to remove a lot of the poisons. So, yeah, I think that’s going to definitely help. But we’re going to have to make the movement ourselves and. I think I could be wrong. I think it’s to be led by the women in the wives. So the moms, the wives, The women.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:35] So if you guys have questions, please ask. If you guys if I can help in any way comments, you know, ask us questions. But that’s really where I thought it was always going to be. Like, we’re doing an event here in Dallas for it’s kind of for the youth, but it’s also for the adults. What we’re doing is so we’re going to be like an NFL combine event. So bench, squat, deadlift, 40 times agility, one mile, five K type of thing. And the idea was that the kids are already training for it. And so what I thought would be really cool is we have some of the parents also train for it and do it at the same time because it would be one way to get everybody in the family healthy. But two, if you guys are going through something and training for something at the same time, it’ll help kind of knit the family back together and give the families something to talk about and some memories to hold. So when these kids go off to college, you know, it’s just one more thing that you guys did as a family. It’s like a, you know, thing and how much we talk about family vacations, how much memories we generate from those. But if you guys are actually in the gym and talk about this type of stuff on a regular basis,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:11:37] I think it would be a great couple of months of reasons to kind of chat. So people ask me like, Well, who do you want to talk to? You want talk to the football coach. Once I was like, No, I want to talk to the moms. I want the moms, the booster clubs, because the moms are who’s going to get this thing done? So. Again. Sorry to put more pressure on you guys, but I think the people who are going to get us healthy are going to be the moms because. Innately. I think that’s just what they were taught There they were. Their gifts are. So if we want to be healthy, I think we should start listening to our wives. And our daughters are our wives, our moms more. But we’re going to have to get out. We’re going to be make an active effort to get better. We’re going to make an active effort to get healthier if we want to get there. And it’s a long, hard road. Exercise is, by definition, not super fun for while you’re doing it for a lot of people. But we’re going to have to figure out how to get over that, how to get it done. So if you guys have any questions, hit us up or share the videos and share the stuff we’re doing and we can get you guys as much information as we can so we can all get healthier. So that’s where that’s where the rub is. That’s me. Ask me that. I was thinking about it over the weekend, so that’s why I wanted to bring it up. But that’s when we wrap.
