Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:03] Let’s talk about diabetes more. First of all, it’s it’s very fixable. The idea that it isn’t it’s dependent. It’s entirely dependent upon the person who’s doing. I’ve never had an issue getting people to. Work through it. But that doesn’t mean people aren’t going to that. It’s one of those things that if you guys have diabetes, what it is, is a metabolic function. If you change what you’re eating, if you change and sometimes you’ve got to add more things and the GOP ones are giant help if you know how to use them, right? Testosterone is one of the things you get to add in appearance while there’s lots of supplementation that is beneficial. But this is one of the things that. You know, people can just people do this on their own all the time. They just kind of happenstance hack through it, the biochemistry. And it’s pretty, pretty simple. If you guys have diabetes, you have somebody that you love that has diabetes. Have them get a hold of us. Tell us what it’s like. Second, have him call the office. We can walk you through it. It’s not and it’s not that big of a deal. You know, there’s I guess there’s supplementation.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:24] There’s hormones. You know, GOP ones play a role, but you don’t have to use those if you don’t want to. It’s one of those things that really, really, really changes your life. The the thing that we get into is that when you have a higher with diabetes, actually, as it’s not a blood sugar issue, it’s a pleasure control issue, which means it’s an insulin function. So all you diabetics, how many times have your doctors told your fasting insulin? They haven’t. They’re not treating you. So find somebody who give us a call. Just. I don’t know. I don’t know who else you could find. You know, there’s a lot of people who are doing it, but I don’t know where they are. If you haven’t pulled your fast insulin, just quit using it, because that’s what it is. It’s a blood sugar control problem. Insulin is your control mechanism for it. And so that’s where you got to get it. So if you guys have heard the term insulin resistance, it’s because your body is so broken that the control mechanism function isn’t working. And, you know, it’s one of the things that we see more and more and more. I’m seeing kids, you know, who are getting some of these things.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:24] You know, when we see fasting, you know, insulin levels during the, you know, high teens, low 20s, your diabetic, I don’t care what your blood sugar show. And the problem the reason that this is problematic is because the amount of sugar that’s supposed to be in the blood is between 80 and 100. The amount of sugar that supposed to be in the cerebrospinal fluid surrounds the brain is 55 to 60. The problem is, is that a little, little mechanism that moves it from the blood to the spinal fluid is called a glut one receptor. And it’s insulin. It’s insulin dependent. So insulin makes it work. So insulin makes it move sugar from the blood to basically the brain fluid, if you want to call it that. And so when we have higher fasting insulin, we’re going to end up having more sugar in and around the brain causing dimension, Alzheimer’s and all sorts of issues like that. You know, there’s depression linked to there’s all sorts of things linked to the biochemistry around the brain gets messed up how your brain doesn’t work. Right. I mean, that’s I don’t know. That’s a pretty simple thing.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:24] You know, I think all of us, just logically we go, yeah, you know, if I have a plant and there’s too much water or not enough water or the wrong fertilizer, you know, the plant’s going to suffer. Right. Your brain’s the exact same way. If you put too much sugar in the brain, it’s going to get damaged. And we’re going to have all sorts of side side effects from it. That’s why they keep saying, you know, dimension Alzheimer’s, Type three diabetes. So if you guys are you guys are worried about that. If you guys have diabetes and your doctor isn’t fixing it, not treating it, fixing it, you got to get it. Somebody who knows how to fix it. So it’s again, it’s a dietary nutrition metabolic function issue. Now, medical doctors are not trained in metabolic function. They’re not trained in hormone function. They’re not trained in diet or nutrition. So they’re trying to sell drugs and lots of drugs are very beneficial.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:11] I’m not saying that drugs aren’t beneficial, but I’m telling you that they’re not trained to use the nutrition to fix you the way you need to. So if you’ve got diabetes, if somebody that you love has diabetes and you want it, you want to do a little bit of work by changing your diet and some of that stuff, if you want to get rid of it in a couple months, give us a call. Will knock it out. Typically, we’re looking at for most people, we’re looking at about 2 to 3 months and we’ve gotten significant restoration, fasting and some levels are down. Blood sugar levels are down. Fat usually comes off. Not always, but there’s a lot of people who who aren’t that fat that are diabetic. But there’s a lot of people who have excess fat that are also diabetic. And when we see that, the fat usually comes off as well, because when you change the metabolic function, the body changes because what the way that the body runs is from metabolic function, you change metabolic function, the body runs differently and you’re going to lose fat if you choose to do exercise as well. You’re going to gain muscle tissue at the same time.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:10] So, you know, a lot of people are making big changes in their lives. The number one thing you need to change, if you want to work out, that’s fine. Like it’s not it’s not part of the process. Like, if you don’t go to the gym seven hours a day for six days a week, you’re not going to lose your diabetes. You don’t have a workout at all. You can still change and lose your diabetes. It’s like I said, it’s a metabolic function. So I liken it to being drunk. If you’re drunk and you’re drinking vodka every day and you’re like, I don’t know how to not be drunk, quit drinking the vodka. When we drink anymore. Same thing if you have too much sugar in your blood. Change your diet. Change the chemicals you’re putting in your face every single day. Guess what? Your blood will react. It has to like. It has no other choice. And so because your body’s going to run on what you put into it. And so if we change the way you put it into it, everything’s better. Now, the other thing is, is that you’re like, Well, I can go, you know, hardcore carnivore, knock it out that lots of times it’ll work.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:06] I’m going to tell you, that’s really hard to sustain. Like, I’ve done it and I’m going to eat the same thing every day and love it. Carnivore is really hard to sustain. What we what we look at is long term in a diet. If you have to give up the things that you love, the pizza, the ice cream, the cookies, the tacos, the, you know, whatever. If you’ve got to give up all those things, it’s not a sustainable diet. It’s not something that you able to do forever. You sometimes you can just say, you know how it 2 to 3 times a month we were like, you know, I only have it 4 or 5 times a month now, so I can have it two, three times a month. That’s fine. And you can work them into the diet. You have to understand how the chemistry works. Once you trust in how the chemistry works, you can buffer things around it. So. You know, if you guys are struggling with diabetes. You know, get in. You know those one sitcom, Give us a call at the office and we’ll walk you through it. You know, we’ll put you in the program. We’ll walk you through. It takes, like I said, couple months. Big, big changes. The hardest part about it is changing your life a little bit.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:07:09] You know, it’s like, hey, instead of getting the cookies from the, you know, the box, the store, get this box at the store or make them at home like this. And that’s a big I know that’s a giant step asking people to start, you know, cooking at home and you’re going to screw it up and it’s going to be a mess and it’s going to take some time, but you’re going to get it. It’s not rocket science. Like you might not be Gordon Ramsay like you might you might not, you know, wake up tomorrow and be like, I’m the greatest chef in the world. But you’re going to get to a point. You’re like, this is kind of fun. Like, I can actually get this done. And the great thing is, like, when we make pizzas, we make pieces as a family. So, you know, you’re like, Hey, I’m looking for a way to get healthier and kind of, you know, bring the family together a little bit. Spend ten minutes making pizza. It’s not that hard. Then you get pizza. I mean, it’s fantastic. It’s again, I’ve had to I mean, I can’t. I can’t make anything. You can make pizza. A pizza is the easiest thing in the world to make. You get. You get a crust. You don’t have to make the crust.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:03] You can make the crust. I’ll walk you through how to make crust, but you just get a crust that there’s a variety of different things to try and then you literally just stick stuff on top of it. If you think you can make a salad, you can make a pizza. It is something like crust. Spread the stuff around on it for the sauce around on it. You don’t have to be genius at that. Like it’s a little bit too more too thick over here to thin over there. You’ll figure this out as you go along. You’re going to make more than one pizza. Trust me, you can’t screw up pizza. You can make a pizza that’s better than the last pizza, but you’re not going to make pizzas as bad. And so stack yourself up so long as you know how you know what to put on it and why You’re great. Bang! Now you’ve got pizza tacos. Really? You can’t make a taco like your taco falls apart all the time. And you put it back together yourself. You can make a taco. You know, you guys can make a lot of things that you want to eat. It’s just going to take you an extra 30s to assemble some of this stuff. And if you make it at home, it’s cheaper, which is right now, that’s all That’s a thing for lots of people. And second of all, it’s healthier. And now you can have the things you want whenever you want them.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:04] I guarantee you that if you have the ingredients at home 100%, it is going to be faster, cheaper and easier to make your tacos, make your burritos, make your pizza than it is to order it. So you’re going to be fat a lot faster because by the time you order it and it gets to your house, you could have made it and it can be a whole lot better for you. And like this sort of stuff, you can use it to knock out your diabetes. So it’s one of those deals of it’s not I guess there’s there’s a there’s a problem functional. Yes, you’ve got to do some work, but it’s not a giant amount. Like it’s not like you got okay you’ve got to go run 45 minutes a day and then left. You know, it’s it’s every day you go to work out for two hours. Like that’s not what it is. Are you a bodybuilder? That’s one of those. You’re going to do that. But if you just want to not be fat and not have diabetes, it’s not really that hard. It’s just you’re not being taught how to do it. So, you know, if you guys have diabetes or someone you love has diabetes or you’re worried about that type of stuff and you’re just like, Hey, I want to learn to clean my diet up a little bit.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:00] Like, I don’t want to go crazy with it, but I just want to understand what makes me healthy, what makes me sick, why, and how what I can do to kind of, you know, still eat the foods I want to eat but not be sick. Great. Give us a call. Will set it up. It’s really not that hard. Usually in an hour, maybe two, I can run you through all that stuff, and then I’ll be like, Go ahead and put together, you know, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Put it together, send it to me. We’ll go over it next time. And that’s right. That’s right. For two hours, because I explain how the body works in the first one. Second, we go over all the food choices you’ve got done, like the vast majority of people are like, that’s it. And that’s it. That’s legitimately it. Now all you gotta do is just go make the food, which again, isn’t the hardest thing in the world. So if you guys are struggling with your health and you know you’re worried about, you know, rising drug costs, rising medical costs, things like that, the best thing you can do is change your diet. And we’re not talking about like making cuts to get you six packs and, you know, lose all the fat and the like.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:11:00] You can go that route that you can turn up to ten if you want to. Or you can just not be sick. I distort my own life. There are stories to talk about because I had a her mom come in and mom and dad are divorced. Dad is not a bad guy. He’s just checking the box. And like, as a guy myself, I like to check boxes. Did I feed the kids check box? Look at me. I did it. But you know, he’s feed him this this cereal, this, you know, die with a sugar cereal. You know, it’s he doesn’t know any better. He’s like, it’s not his thing. And the kids have A.D.D. and the kids are getting fat and the kids are being hellions. So mom comes in, schools push to medicate, you know, because the school does, again, not the worst option. They don’t know any better either. And mom comes and goes, What do we do? And I was like, bring the kids in. She’s like, They won’t get rid of that cereal. I’m like, And let me talk to her. And so I was like, I’ll make you a deal. I was like, I’ll trade you cookies, cake and brownies for your for your cereal in the morning. They’re like, We get to eat cake for breakfast. And like, yeah, I like deal. So what we did is we gave them this. So I have this brownie cake recipe that we do that’s almond flour. Organic cow, which is the chocolate eggs, butter and monk fruit and razor top. And we use Lilly’s dark chocolate as the icing. And the kids loved it.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:12:11] And so they started eating stuff like that. You know, there’s there’s pie recipes and stuff like that. But that type of stuff, we radically change the chemistry of what they’re putting in their body. But they’re eating cake and cookies and stuff like that, you know, And in chicken nuggets it’s like that throughout the day. And they’re like, this is fantastic. And we have things like, you know, I don’t see her again for a couple months. And she goes again and was like, Hey, how’s it going? She’s over to tell you she’s the school called and ask if I forgot to update the medication list because the croup, the kids completely calm down like the 80 day stuff’s really, really gotten better. That the behavior things got a lot better. And it was just because we changed the diet again, the brain and the whole body respond to the chemicals you put into it every single day. So if you change the diet, you’re going to change the outcome of how the person’s chemically functioning. So, you know, I’m not saying that your hellion kids are going to become great if you change your diet. Some of them will. Some of them are hellions because we gave them the genetics to be aliens. So it is it is kind of that’s a piece as well.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:13:11] But there’s a lot of this if we just change what we’re putting in our bodies every day and it’s not a giant change. It’s really not. My 12 year old who just turned 12, makes all this stuff himself and just do a great job. So it’s not it is not above anybody to to make this stuff. And people like, I can’t even boil water. I’m like, I guarantee you that you can do a lot of these things like the pizza and the tacos and the brownies. It’s like you can do a lot of this stuff. It’s not really that difficult and you will get better as you go along. So if you guys are needing that, give us a call. How do you put it together? It’s really probably the best change you can make for your family health wise, especially long term. Like I know if you guys are seeing the stuff on the on the social about the heart attack that you know at 50 started at 2,000% true. Yeah.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:13:56] So you want to do the very best thing you can give your kids for a long term function is teach them to cook, learn to cook, learn the nutrition, learn why you’re eating, what you’re eating, learn what the macros do chemically. Learn why these things happen again. Most people get it in an hour. So but again, if you guys need that help, give us a call. Set it up plus one second or just call the office and we’ll get it set up. Thanks for your time. One more thing. We’re doing a talk at Vibe. I’m doing a talking vibe over GOP ones and the difference in how they work and functionality, stuff like that on November 6th at 645 here in Frisco. So we’ll probably record that as well. But if you guys are around, get hold of us and we’ll put you on the list. So. All right. Thanks for your time.
