PERSONAL STATEMENT
Are you a young adult who is feeling challenged by all that life seems to be throwing your way? As you navigate the transition to adulthood, you might be experiencing concerns related to dating, sexuality, family relationships, anxiety, self-image, perfectionism, and/or your school or work life. This time in your life is full of possibility and change, and I can help you navigate through the stressors that come up for you along the way. I am here to listen and to support you while giving you the tools to face your situation and feel good about yourself and the decisions that you make.
If you are the parent of a teenager who might be struggling to manage the pressures of school, peers, family, and possibly their own identity, I can work with your teen to help them cope with their emotions, build self-esteem, manage school, and build healthy relationships.
My approach to counseling includes the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also often use mindfulness techniques and meditation in session. I believe that every client’s experience is unique. I adapt my therapeutic approach to provide the best treatment plan and care for my clients by tailoring the therapy to their specific needs. I am passionate about working with teenagers and young adults looking to improve their quality of life and the quality of their relationships.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas under the supervision of Dr. Karen Haynes, LPC-S.
