Methylene blue was originally used as a textile dye, but research has shown it has some interesting health benefits. It helps support brain function by improving ATP production and oxygen delivery, which can boost cognitive function and even support conditions like memory loss and neurodegeneration. It also works to reduce oxidative stress, which plays a big role in aging and various health issues.

Aside from brain health, methylene blue may also support skin regeneration and overall cellular function. It helps protect against oxidative damage and improves energy production at the cellular level. While generally safe, it can temporarily turn urine blue, and the best dosage is still being studied.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:04] Okay. So you’re not going to go over methylene blue? Methylene blue is kind of an interesting creation. It was dye. It wasn’t made from for health. It was made for literally textile dyes to turn things work. What we’ve found is that it’s it’s actually really kind of interesting how it plays in the body. So one of the things so I talk about reactive oxygen stress all the time. Reactive oxygen stress is what’s killing us. It’s which created cancers and heart attacks and strokes and all sorts of stuff like that. So this is a byproduct of normal metabolic function. We see a lot of it created in the mitochondria during ATP Genesis. So. That’s the word. So if you’re not familiar with my function ATP function, then. It has good things and bad things your whole body runs on, right? It does not run on calories. Like run this all the time. Calories. Romantic nonsense. Your body runs on ATP adenosine triphosphate. It’s made in mitochondria as a primary functional flight snack. It also has made it Part of the mitochondria function is which all the electron electron chain transport system. So everybody goes through it, creates this chemical and has all these substrates and things like that in and is part of this. And at the age of 80 H all of the things you hear about is part of the body’s ability to make energy for for all function right now this reactive oxygen stress you might have heard of this is free radicals. This is a free radical antioxidant conversation. Antioxidants kill free radicals.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:46] So what we’re seeing is that methylene blue is competing for the blood brain barrier. So it works on the brain. It works actually, like when we’ve got studies on mice, we inject or we have oral methylene blue. There’s more in the brain than anywhere else, which is fine because the brain has a massively higher amount of need for ATP. One of the things it does is actually helps your body carry oxygen. Oxygen is the most important thing for any place in your body because oxygen is literally the thing that everything runs on. We talked about reactive oxidative stress. Oxygen is the best thing for that. When we talk about, you know, energy needs and things like that. Oxygen is by far the thing that our bodies need more than anything else around. As we age, our body doesn’t process oxygen as well. And so we have secondary and tertiary problems from that. We see it more in the mitochondria. So methylene blue helps kind of go in and helps to one, deliver oxygen to the area. It also helps clean up any free radical damage that’s been done in around the area. So we produce more ATP for more energy easier. We’ve seen that it helps with Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease and dementia because it’s creating ATP and it’s helping the body create the nutrients it needs for mental functional health. We’ve seen cognitive function memory come back and Parkinson’s and I’m sorry, Alzheimer’s and dementia patients by adding methylene blue yet because again, we’re trying to get more oxygen to the brain.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:27] So whenever I do mental work or the number one things that we try to do is restore the biochemistry and restore the oxygen. So we fix the diabetes, we get the cholesterol levels back up, and then we flood the brain as much oxygen as we get to hyperbaric oxygen. Sleep studies have been studies CPAp with oxygen concentrators. So this is how we rebuild, regenerate the brain. I would highly recommend that people use methylene blue for concussions as well, because concussions are a metabolic issue, which is why we put it in hyperbaric chamber. So it’s great for that. So if you have if you if you’re worried about long term mental decline, which everybody should be at least a little bit worried about, nothing would be a great thing to add in. You know, thinking every day here and there throughout would be great. What we’re seeing with it, as far as pushing back against aging is also pretty, pretty cool. A lot of times what aging is, just the reaction to react to Boxer’s threats. It’s the you know, it’s the poisons in our food, water, air. It’s all the bad foods, all the seed oils, all the processed foods, all of the stuff, all the stuff that’s in our air, like the fluoride, no water. It’s like that that’s killing us. You’ve got to push back against. And then the psychological, emotional stress. All of those things lead to higher levels of reactive oxygen stress and lower oxygen function in the body. So having internalized methylene blue to help clean up my country and to help repair mitochondrial damage, to help push back against reactive toxic stress is really, really beneficial.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:03] The research that they’ve done in dementia patients upon memory coming back is been pretty impressive. So if you’re worried about long term health, this is definitely something I was throw at. There’s peptide units of S.r 33 that also helps with this, but this is something you can take orally. Methylene blue is we need to also take this all of these you help clean up your mitochondria. It’s going to help increase energy production that’s going to get more ATP produced properly. You’re going to get less damaging stress produced from it. I’m trying to go to is not going to deepen the chemistry because ATP generation is not something that most people understand. So the phase one, phase three function of it, this is for the nerds out there is greatly enhanced with methylene blue. Now we hear about skin aging and wrinkles and, you know, thinning of the skin. Methylene blue is showing a really good results with helping the the dermis and the subdermal tissue regenerate so that the skin doesn’t thin as easily. It doesn’t it doesn’t get as is weak. The the coupling layers between the dermis and the subdermal, the epidermis, all three layers, the they get stronger and thicker. And so what we’re actually seeing is long term health of the skin, which is your largest organ in your body. And so the healthier your skin is, the healthier the recipe is going to be as well, especially if you’re doing this from the inside out.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:43] You know, the health care product side, health consumer got about down inside out. If we if we fix the inside and let it come out of the tremendous fat. So if you’re worried about long term function of the skin, if you’re worried about long term, you know, mental capacity, get function, all these sort of things, all these things require your body to produce enough ATP to make your body function hard as well. So, you know, these are the things that nothing was going to help with. What I use it for specifically for anything. Yeah, I would be. I would only use it. I would use it in conjunction with other things. So like I’m adding it to my dementia protocols, manage my Alzheimer’s protocols. It’s not my personal daily routine. I don’t have a good methylene blue project yet. We’ll find one. Test them over X and stuff. And it is something that I think that from the research that I’ve been reading, it is a definitely a good thing to start adding it. You never know if after you get and we can have insight using methylene blue as as the blue dye that’s in our food and some of the other toxic stuff at work. Now we get to use the food dyes to make it healthier and not worse. So one of the things that you can see I did read this is this is I can turn your urine blue or blue. I don’t know how blue your urine is now, but it can darken your. So if that happens, don’t freak out. You don’t need a whole, whole bunch of this stuff. I did not. I did. I read. I try to find I didn’t find any upper limits as far as toxic doses or lethal doses of methylene blue. My guess is that unless you’re not unless you’re trying to do that, you’ll be fine.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:23] Say a little bit, you know, throughout the day. That will be kind of the best option for you depending on, you know, where you’re going. And wrestling with the best is going to be different anyway. So I can’t until I have a product that I’ve kind of singled out to use. I can’t give you much, much information on dosage. We’ve been researching this for a little bit, but that’s only what’s really, really kind of showing up to be really, really good for, like I said, long term skin issues, long term mental function and total energy. So when we start looking at, it’s great for everything, it’s great for the heart is great for blood vessels. Yes, it’s great for your intestines. It’s great for your brain. Is great for your mood. Yeah. All those things. The more energy we have, more ATP, we create more energy, more oxygen. We have a body that are everything, and oxygen is one of those things. Is ATP aware of those things that rise over everything? The body gets better with more oxygen, everything, commodities that of more energy, which is ATP. So it’s important that we get these things squared away. Right. To control health is there’s a lot of research going into how mitochondrial health is is the place we should all be focusing on because that’s our fuel source. It’s again, this is why it’s so important. We’re like, why do you make such a big deal of the fact that calories are made up in the calories on the body runs off because the fuel source for your body is hyper critical to long term health?

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:41] Determine your sensitivities. Triphosphate ATP. It’s made in the body from fats and sugars in the mitochondria and in the blood in the blood. Mitochondria is made from the glycolytic process of glucose going through the cytoplasm, breaking into lactate after breaking the lock to encourage you to develop outside the blood vessels. I’m sorry, outside of red blood cells, it’s made the mitochondria, the healthier mitochondria are, the healthier we are all the way around. And this is one of those things if you guys don’t jump on soon. In your life, you’ll be unhappy because what happens is like, well, I’ll do that later because you’re 40, 50, 60. Same thing with exercise. Same thing with diet. Something with supplementation. The longer you wait, the more your body that you’re in, the less you will maintain. So, yeah, it’s one of those things if you start when you’re 50 or 60, going to look old, feel old. Bill. If you start when you’re 20 or 30 years, you’re a hell of an hour when you’re 60, 70. And then if you don’t, anything is investing.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:38] Soon as you start that, the sooner you start that. So that’s why we, as everyone else thinks, as far as we’ve looked at your there is real quick on this. There is nothing that is powerful enough to do good that’s not powerful enough to do that which we do, who are allergic to so many people who have a lower tolerance function for this. So, you know, make sure you get testing and see make sure that you’re looking at, you know, what’s best for you. Have somebody walk you through it. But methylene blue is definitely one of the things that we should start looking at is adding to the diet is something that, you know, we could start brewing yet again. If you’re going to use food dye. I choose methylene blue. That’s just me. So if you have any questions, start for the comments or [email protected]. Thanks for your time.
