Denise received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oral Roberts University and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has been licensed as a clinical social worker since 1992 and as an LPC since 1994. While earning her licenses, she worked with eating disorder and addiction populations. After that, she worked for over seven years in hospice as a social worker and bereavement coordinator.Denise earned her social work certificate in Animal Hospice & Palliative Care through the International Association of Animal Hospice & Palliative Care (IAAHPC), of which she is also a member.

In private practice, Denise specializes in women’s issues, depression & anxiety. She has a passion for grief work, which can be from the death of a dream, a difficult life transition, other loss issues, or a death of a loved person or beloved pet. She also enjoys speaking to various audiences about the grieving process.

Denise co-facilitates a monthly in-person pet loss support group at the office on the fourth Thursday from 5:30-6:30, p.m. and is $20 per session. Registration is required as space is limited. If interested, please send an email to denise@ccpetservice.com.
